Majority of Zarzissians Living in Europe Want to Spend the Holy Month at Home

The majority of Zarzissians residing in Europe who have all their paperwork in order wish to spend the sacred month in their hometown with their families.

If we add to them our Libyan neighbours—who are among us for one reason or another—and the Sub‑Saharan Africans, citizens have plenty of reasons to complain about soaring prices.

Supermarkets, market souks, vegetable stalls, and fishmongers are packed with customers wandering through these venues.

The governorate of Médenine has therefore drawn the attention of local officials to the supply and storage of essential goods by creating a producer‑to‑consumer point of sale—a short‑circuit market where citizens can obtain what they need at reasonable prices, such as fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, milk, eggs, cheese, and more.

The location is already ready. As it was last year, it began receiving customers yesterday, the first day of Ramadan, at the Office of State Lands (OTD) in Chamakh.
