Ramadan Meets Culture and Events Beyond the Capital

We don’t hear about it much, but outside the capital the holy month of Ramadan is synonymous with culture and event‑making. The “Hammamet Art & Culture” space (HAC) illustrates this decentralized artistic buzz.

The “Zahou” Programme

A collective of young people, united around this new artistic hub in Hammamet, has launched “Zahou”, a series of artistic events that runs throughout the entire holy month.

Through digital communication, urban billboards, and partnerships with downtown Hammamet restaurateurs, the young founders of HAC have highlighted a packed Ramadan programme.

About the HAC Space

The HAC in Hammamet demonstrates how a youthful, collective spirit and an active local community can produce large‑scale cultural projects. The venue offers a continuous film programme and a variety of artistic workshops.

Since its official opening a few months ago, HAC has become a unique creativity hub in the region—an alternative cultural anchor in a city traditionally known only for tourism and the annual International Hammamet Festival.
