Partnership Agreement Signed to Enhance Tunisian-Kuwaiti Cooperation and Support Sustainable Development Projects

A partnership agreement was signed on Monday, October 27, 2025, between the Governorate of Zaghouan and the Tunisian office of the Kuwaiti Association "Al Aoun Al Moubarak", as part of the strengthening of Tunisian-Kuwaiti cooperation and support for sustainable development projects.

Key Provisions of the Agreement

The agreement provides for the drilling and equipping of two deep wells in the areas of Ezzers, in Fahs, and Ain El Batoum, in Nadhour, in order to improve the supply of drinking water for the inhabitants of these localities.

Implementation and Supervision

The signing ceremony took place under the supervision of the Governor of Zaghouan, Karim Berneji, in the presence of representatives from the Tunisian office of the association. The implementation of the project will be ensured by the services of the Regional Commissariat for Agricultural Development (CRDA).

Project Details

The Regional Commissioner for Agricultural Development, Fayçal Kotâa, indicated to the TAP agency that the two wells will be equipped with solar-powered systems and reservoirs to guarantee a regular supply. Ongoing technical studies will determine the overall cost of the project.
