Conference-Debate on "Youth and Francophonie"

A conference-debate on "Youth and Francophonie" will be organized by the OIF Representation for North Africa tomorrow, September 25, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. It will take place at the Fadhel Ben Achour Center for Culture and Art (Espace Maken) in La Marsa and is titled "Youth, Engine and Pillar of Francophonie: How to Build a Dynamic and Inclusive Community?"

Objective

This meeting will bring together young people from diverse backgrounds to explore the prospects of a more connected Francophonie and aims to offer an open and constructive dialogue space, in a regional context marked by a strong demographic presence of young people and major societal transformations.

Conference-Debate Ambition

The conference-debate aims to place youth at the heart of Francophone reflection, creating a space conducive to exchange, co-construction of ideas, and valorization of local initiatives. It aims to strengthen the active participation of young people in dialogue, decision-making, and creation spaces within Francophonie, taking into account the diversity of paths, social contexts, and forms of engagement.

Highlighting Initiatives

It also highlights initiatives that bring about change, led by young people in various fields such as culture, music, social innovation, education, or civic engagement. By valuing these experiences, the objective is to show that youth is not only a subject of interest but a full-fledged actor of transformation in society.

Collective Reflection

This meeting aims to lead a collective reflection on the inclusion of young people, particularly those in vulnerable or precarious situations, and to emerge with concrete proposals to build a more representative and dynamic Francophonie. This involves encouraging dialogue between young people, institutions, civil society organizations, and cultural actors.

Moderation and Guests

Moderated by journalist and cultural programmer Haithem Haouel, the event will highlight the concrete experiences, aspirations, challenges, and proposals of young people, while being part of a broader reflection. The guests who will take part in the discussion are Raja Sabta El Amri, author and founder of the project "Dis maman, dis papa", Youssef Meksi, author, composer, actor, and content creator, and Zahreddine Berhima, journalist at Blue TN.

Testimony

The exchange will be enriched by the testimony of Sofien Zarraâ, specialist in youth and sports and founder of Youth Bridge Consulting.
