Tunisian Junior Triathlon Team Dominates African Cup
The Tunisian national junior triathlon team has dominated the African Triathlon Cup in Saly, Senegal, winning four gold medals and one silver medal, placing them at the top of the overall medal standings. This competition marks the beginning of the qualifying races for the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games.
Under the supervision of the African Triathlon Federation, the young Tunisian athletes delivered exceptional performances:
- Youssef Salama – gold medal, Sprint distance
- Elissa Ghnoudi – gold medal, Sprint distance
- Yassine Ghedamsi – gold medal, Super Sprint distance
- Ritaj El Ajili – gold medal, Super Sprint distance
- Mohamed Amine Khamis – silver medal, Sprint distance Champion Alaa Saidan finished 6th in the Sprint distance.
This success places Tunisia at the top of the gold medal standings in the African competition. The Tunisian National Olympic Committee congratulated the athletes and encouraged them for the next qualifying stages for the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games.
