Videos showing wild boars roaming on Habib Bourguiba Avenue, in the heart of the capital, have been widely circulated on social media in recent hours, sparking numerous reactions and questions among citizens. Speaking on the airwaves of Jawhara FM this Friday morning, Moez Ben Othman, a member of the local council of Bab Bhar in Tunis, stated that the presence of wild boars in urban areas is not limited to the capital. According to him, "the phenomenon of wild boar proliferation in residential neighborhoods affects the entire country." He indicated that Habib Bourguiba Avenue, an iconic artery of Tunis, is experiencing a "laissez-faire" attitude that favors this type of situation. In his statements, several regional officials have been alerted to this issue, without a concrete response being provided so far. Moez Ben Othman called on regional authorities to intervene quickly, emphasizing that adjacent and parallel areas to the main avenue require urgent action to prevent any risk to residents and passersby. The circulation of wild animals in urban environments continues to fuel the debate on wildlife management and security in major Tunisian cities.
