From Australia to Tunisia, via France and Other European Countries, the Ban on Using Phones at School Is Gaining Traction
The prohibition of mobile‑phone use in classrooms is spreading like wildfire across the globe—from Australia to Tunisia, through France and numerous other European nations. Recently, our Ministry of Education has championed the cause, positioning the ban as a cornerstone of modern educational policy.
Extending the Ban to Public Administrations
If we think it through, the logical next step would be to broaden this measure and apply it to government offices as well. The mobile‑phone scourge is rampant and continues to proliferate in the workplace. Employees are spending more time glued to their screens than actually performing their duties, which fuels public frustration and creates unnecessary friction. Moreover, costly (and sometimes severe) mistakes can arise when agents are distracted by their devices.
