Espérance Sportive de Tunis Qualifies for Quarterfinals of African Champions League
The Espérance Sportive de Tunis (EST) has validated its qualification for the quarterfinals of the African Champions League, after defeating the Angolan club Petro de Luanda with a score of 2-0, on the last day of the group stage. The Tunisian team is now waiting to know its opponent for the next round. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has set Tuesday, February 17, 2026, as the date for the quarterfinal draw. In the next round, Espérance could face either Pyramids FC (winner of the competition in 2025), Al Ahly, or Al-Hilal of Sudan. Espérance finished the group stage in 2nd place with 9 points, behind the group leader, confirming its solidity and ability to aim for the final rounds of the competition.
