Unusual Temperature Records
Temperatures recorded on Sunday significantly exceeded seasonal norms, reaching up to 14 degrees higher than usual averages in some regions, according to Sobhi Ben Ahmed, an engineer at the National Institute of Meteorology (INM), on Monday. During his appearance on Mosaïque FM, he specified that several areas came close to breaking historical heat records for this time of year.
Weather Forecast
For Monday, the weather will be partially cloudy in most regions. Strong winds will blow, accompanied by sand whirlwinds in the southwest, while the sea will be very rough to locally stormy. Temperatures will fluctuate between 17 and 22 °C in the north and highlands, and between 23 and 29 °C elsewhere. A slight increase is expected on Tuesday.
Upcoming Weather Changes
Sobhi Ben Ahmed also announced the arrival of meteorological disturbances starting from Thursday night, marking a possible change in weather conditions by the end of the week.
