Weather Forecast: Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms Expected Across Tunisia This Afternoon
Starting this afternoon, scattered and temporarily thunderstorm‑laden rain will affect the eastern regions of Tunisia. The precipitation will then gradually spread to the rest of the country, becoming moderately heavy by late afternoon and early evening—especially in the governorates of Zaghouan, Siliana, and Le Kef. Later, the showers will move into Gafsa, Sidi Bouzid, Sfax, and Gabès.
- Rainfall totals: The National Meteorological Institute (INM) predicts accumulations of 20 – 40 mm in the most affected areas.
- Additional hazards: Expect hail and strong wind gusts as the storm clouds pass.
The INM has issued a yellow vigilance level for all governorates except Tataouine. The institute advises extra caution for any activities that depend on weather conditions, such as travel, outdoor work, and events.
