Weather Forecast: Return to Stability Expected on Sunday
The engineer from the National Institute of Meteorology (INM), Anis Satouri, indicated on Saturday, November 22, 2025, that a return to stable weather conditions is expected starting from Sunday morning.
Current Weather Conditions
Satouri reported snowfall in the highlands of the Jendouba governorate, with a thickness of 3 centimeters in Aïn Draham. The recorded rainfall amounts were:
- 72 millimeters in Tabarka
- 52 millimeters in Sejnane (Bizerte governorate)
- 45 millimeters in Nefza (Béja governorate)
Forecast for the Rest of the Day
According to Satouri, scattered showers will continue in the North for the rest of the day. They will take on a stormy character in the extreme Northwest, with expected rain in the governorates of Greater Tunis and the Cap Bon region in the afternoon.
Wind and Sea Conditions
The wind will blow from the West, being strong in the North, Center, and near the coasts, and moderate in the South. The maritime bulletin remains in effect for fishermen: the sea will be very rough in the North and very rough to rough on the rest of the coasts.
Temperature
The temperature will experience a significant drop today. The highs will vary between:
- 6 and 11 degrees in the western regions of the North and Center
- 12 and 17 degrees in the other regions
Snowfall and School Closures
It's worth noting that the heights of Aïn Draham, in the Jendouba governorate, experienced snowfall this Saturday morning, November 22, 2025. The Regional Commission for Disaster Prevention, Confrontation, and Relief Organization decided to suspend classes today for all students of primary schools, colleges, high schools, and vocational training centers in the Aïn Draham delegation.
Road Safety
Similarly, the Regional Directorate of Civil Protection in Jendouba called on road users, in a statement, to exercise extreme caution and vigilance, take necessary precautions while driving using low beams and reducing speed.
