Tunisia to Experience Mild Temperatures During Eid al-Adha Period
According to meteorologist Amer Bhaba, Tunisia will not experience a heatwave during the Eid al-Adha period. Instead, the country can expect moderate and generally stable temperatures, accompanied by occasional local thunderstorms towards the end of the week.
Speaking on Diwan Fm on Monday, May 25, Amer Bhaba stated that temperatures will rise slightly on Wednesday, the day of Eid, by around 1-2 degrees. They will generally range from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius in different regions across the country.
The expert assured that no heatwave is expected during this period, noting that temperatures will not reach 40 degrees Celsius, unlike in other countries. He described the situation as "normal" and called for stability in the weather conditions throughout the festive days.
In terms of evolution, Amer Bhaba explained that the thermal stability will continue until Sunday. However, passing showers are forecasted for Saturday and Sunday, May 30 and 31, accompanied by thunderstorm cells that will form primarily in the western highlands of the country.
The affected governorates include Kasserine, as well as neighboring regions of Gafsa, Sidi Bouzid, western Kairouan, southern Kef, and Siliana.
The expert also mentioned the possibility of flash flooding and temporary river overflows in the Kasserine governorate due to the expected precipitation.
