Weather Forecast: Tunisia to Experience Significant Deterioration in Weather Conditions
Tunisia is expected to witness a notable degradation in weather conditions, marked by very strong winds that may temporarily reach 100 km/h, locally heavy thunderstorms in the northwest, and a very rough to rough sea, according to forecasts published by the National Institute of Meteorology (INM).
Weather Conditions
The weather will be sometimes very cloudy in the north of the country, with scattered and temporarily stormy rains, particularly in the northern coastal regions. These precipitations may be locally abundant in the far northwest. In the rest of the territory, cloudy passages are expected.
Wind and Visibility
Winds will blow from the west and will be strong in most regions, with maximum speeds ranging from 60 to 80 km/h. They may become very strong at times, reaching locally 100 km/h, especially in the northern coastal areas and heights. In the south, these winds will raise sand and dust, leading to a significant decrease in horizontal visibility.
Sea Conditions
Sea conditions are expected to be particularly difficult. The sea will be very rough to rough on the northern coasts and rough to very rough on the rest of the coastline.
Temperatures
Maximum temperatures will vary between 15 and 20 degrees in the north and western heights, between 21 and 25 degrees elsewhere, and may reach 27 degrees locally in the south.
