Weather Update: Heavy Rainfall Expected in Southern Regions
In a follow-up bulletin, the National Institute of Meteorology (INM) announced the continuation of rainfall this Saturday in the southern regions, before gradually extending to the central and northwest parts of the country.
Rainfall and Thunderstorms
These precipitation events will be temporarily stormy and sometimes torrential, with amounts ranging from 40 to 60 millimeters, potentially reaching up to 80 millimeters locally, particularly in the governorates of Sfax, Gabès, and Mahdia.
Weather Warnings
The INM also reported the possibility of localized hail and gusts of wind exceeding 80 km/h during the passage of storm cells.
Unstable Weather Conditions
Unstable weather conditions are expected to continue on Sunday, October 19, 2025, with stormy showers over most regions, particularly marked in the afternoon on the western areas of the north and center, as well as the southeast.
