Weather Deterioration Expected This Weekend Across Several Regions
The weather is expected to deteriorate this weekend across several regions of the country, with the arrival of stormy rains, sometimes heavy, and very strong winds, according to the latest bulletin from the National Institute of Meteorology (INM).
Forecast for Saturday, February 14
Starting from the afternoon of Saturday, February 14, scattered and stormy showers are expected in the north, which may become strong at night, particularly in the northwest areas. Precipitation totals may reach 30 to 50 mm, accompanied by localized hail.
Strong Winds Expected
Strong to very strong winds are also forecasted, initially affecting the northern and southern coasts. During the night and day of Sunday, February 15, these winds will reach the rest of the north and central parts of the country.
Wind Gusts and Precautions
Wind gusts will range from 60 to 80 km/h, with peaks reaching up to 100 km/h in the governorates of Jendouba, Béja, Bizerte, Zaghouan, Siliana, and Kasserine. These winds may locally cause sand and dust storms.
