National Meteorological Institute (INM) Announces Significant Change in Weather Conditions
The National Meteorological Institute (INM) has announced, in a follow-up bulletin, that a marked change in weather conditions is expected this Friday, November 21, 2025, and will continue throughout the day on Saturday.
Expected Weather Conditions
- Scattered and locally thunderous rains will affect the northern part of the country, with sometimes abundant precipitation on the northern coastal regions, where totals could reach 20 to 40 mm, and locally 60 mm in the far northwest.
- Hail showers are also possible.
- The INM forecasts relatively strong to strong winds on Saturday, November 22, temporarily exceeding 80 km/h in gusts near the coast, in high areas, and during the passage of thunderstorm cells.
Temperature Drop
- A significant drop in temperatures is also expected: maximum temperatures will range from 12 to 18°C, not exceeding 6°C in mountainous areas.
- Minimum temperatures will vary between 6 and 10°C, and between 0 and 4°C in western regions.
- Snowfall may occur on the heights of the Jendouba governorate.
