World Bank Experts Mission in Tunisia from May 4 to 8, 2026
A team of experts from the World Bank will be visiting Tunisia from May 4 to 8, 2026, as part of the national program to implement units for the treatment and valorization of household waste and similar waste.
Mission Objectives
The mission aims to strengthen coordination between various stakeholders in the sector and support the implementation of the program. To achieve this, a series of working meetings are planned at the national, regional, and local levels, bringing together concerned public actors.
Field Visits and Meetings
During their stay, the experts will conduct site visits to several waste management facilities to assess the current state of the system and identify the technical needs required to improve it.
The mission also includes meetings with international partners involved in supporting the sector. These exchanges aim to promote the sharing of experiences and strengthen technical and financial cooperation.
Overall Goal
The ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of an integrated, sustainable, and more efficient waste management and valorization system in Tunisia.
