Governor of Nabeul Issues Warning Due to Strong Winds

The Governor of Nabeul launched a call for vigilance on Thursday due to very strong winds affecting the coastal area of Soliman to El Haouaria. In an official statement, she recommended that the population take all necessary precautions to avoid accidents related to gusts.

Citizens are invited to:

  • Securely fix advertising panels, objects that may fall, and construction cranes
  • Not leave their vehicles parked under trees
  • Avoid staying near trees, old buildings, poles, and power lines

These measures aim to reduce the risk of injuries or material damage caused by violent winds.

The Governor also addressed specific recommendations to sailors and fishermen:

  • Not to take to the sea and secure fishing boats
  • Practice recreational fishing with maximum vigilance, moving as far away from the coast as possible

The Governor of Nabeul emphasized the need to follow the recommendations of the National Meteorology Institute and remain attentive to the bulletins and alerts issued by the competent authorities to prevent any incidents.

These measures come as the region is experiencing exceptional weather conditions, with gusts that can cause objects to fall and incidents on public roads, particularly along the northeastern Tunisian coast.
