International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia Announces Special Flight for 154 Ivorian Migrants
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia announced on Thursday the organization of a special flight that enabled 154 migrants from Côte d'Ivoire to voluntarily return to their country of origin. A statement from the organization explained that the returning migrants benefited from a comprehensive set of assistance before their departure, including temporary accommodation, orientation and counseling sessions, social support, and medical examinations, in addition to the necessary logistical support to secure their journey. This operation is part of the Voluntary Return and Reintegration Assistance Program, implemented under the Migrant Protection, Return, and Reintegration Program in North Africa, funded by the European Union and Sweden.
