TRANSTU CEO Condemns Vandalism of Metro and Bus

The CEO of the Tunis Transportation Company (TRANSTU), Abderraouf Saleh, announced on Friday that "last night, metro number 4 was attacked with stones inside the Republic Square station, its windows were broken, and it was vandalized." He emphasized that "this behavior is totally unjustifiable and such acts are becoming almost daily." During an interview on Jawhara FM, Abderraouf Saleh specified that a new bus was also targeted with similar aggression, its front windshield being broken. He stressed that "these attacks deprive Tunisian citizens of transportation means and prevent the company from responding to the growing demand." The CEO also indicated that law enforcement successfully apprehended the perpetrators of the attacks, who are between 15 and 20 years old.
