USM Secures Hard-Fought Victory Against JSO

The Press — With this success achieved in two stages, thanks to a goal from Moez Haj Ali on a penalty at the beginning of the confrontation, and a second goal signed by Raed Chikhaoui towards the end of the match, USM has rediscovered victory at home against JSO in Monastir. This comes after being held to a draw a few days earlier by CSS at Taieb Mhiri.

At Mustapha Ben Jannet, Chikhaoui's goal (validated by VAR) allowed the Ribat team to gain momentum and boost their morale in preparation for their next two matches, including a C1 match against Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie and a match against CA at Radès in the 10th round of L1.

Ghorbal and Ben Youssef Return to the Starting Lineup

In their stronghold of Monastir, the Ribat team has certainly "rowed" to impose themselves, but they never doubted. In terms of formation against the Omraniens, Montassar Louhichi has somewhat revamped his starting team with the return of Mahmoud Ghorbal on the right flank, the confirmation of Nour Ezzamn Zammouri in the axis, and the titularization of Fakhreddine Ben Youssef at the forefront.

There were no changes to the rest of the team, with Raed Chikhaoui in the axis, Youssef Herch on the left flank, Ousmane Diané and Yassine Dridi in recovery, Haj Ali in offensive animation, and finally Yassine Amri and Aymen Harzi on the wings. At Mustapha Ben Jannet, JSO only resisted for ten minutes before conceding on a penalty, equalizing through Iheb Ben Rjeb, and then losing in the final minutes through Chikhaoui.

USM has thus resumed its march forward with success. Without really shining and without being irresistible, USM shows a more than appreciable level of play and distinguishes itself especially by this rigor and tactical application that make it one of the most feared clubs in L1.

In Monastir, without being conquered, the fans are reassured and convinced. Louhichi's touch is bearing fruit, and the important thing is that the club is gaining momentum and not backpedaling. In short, USM is not hiding. It can certainly rival the best in L1 and offer a more than honorable course in Africa.
