Weather Forecast: Storms and Rain Expected in Northern and Central Regions
The National Meteorological Institute (INM) announced in a follow-up bulletin that storms accompanied by rain are expected on Monday, September 22, 2025, in the western regions of the north and center, before gradually extending to the eastern areas in the afternoon.
Expected Precipitation
The precipitation will be sometimes intense, particularly in the governorates of:
- Jendouba
- Le Kef
- Béja
- Siliana
- Bizerte By the end of the day, the rain will also affect:
- Zaghouan
- Greater Tunis
- Nabeul
- Sousse The highest rainfall totals are expected to range from 30 to 50 millimeters and may locally reach 70 millimeters. These stormy episodes will be accompanied by:
- Heavy hail
- Lightning
- Gusts of wind temporarily exceeding 90 km/h

The INM specifies that the rain will continue on Tuesday, September 23, in the north and center of the country. The precipitation will occasionally be stormy and may be locally abundant in the afternoon.
