Shooter Opens Fire at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia
A shooter opened fire on Thursday morning inside a building at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, in the eastern United States, injuring two people, the university announced. The assailant was shot dead by police.
“University police, city police, and emergency services responded immediately. The shooter is now deceased,” the institution said in a statement, adding that the injured victims were taken to a local hospital.
Classes were cancelled for the remainder of the day, the same source reported.

In February, a shooting on the campus of University of South Carolina in the southeast killed two people and wounded another.
