General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates Announces Total Ban on Drone and Ultralight Aircraft Operations
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates has announced a complete prohibition on the operation of any type of drones and ultralight aircraft, citing the exceptional circumstances currently affecting the country.
“Given the exceptional circumstances the country is facing, we have decided on a total ban on the operation of any type of drones and ultralight aircraft,” the authority said in a statement posted on the social network X, emphasizing that compliance with this decision is mandatory to avoid any legal prosecution.
The authority added that the cooperation of everyone is essential to ensure the safety of all.
Like several other Arab nations, the United Arab Emirates has become a target of Iranian attacks amid rising tensions and escalation in the region. These actions have drawn strong condemnation from numerous countries and organizations, which are calling for an end to such aggressions.
