Joint Operation Shuts Down Illegal Slaughterhouse
A joint team composed of security units from Korba and Menzel Temime, municipal police officers, and the National Sanitary Security Institute of Food Products dismantled an illegal slaughterhouse that failed to comply with current health standards.
During this operation, the concerned forces seized approximately three tons of spoiled poultry meat, which the slaughterhouse owner was preparing to sell on the local market.
The raid took place in the afternoon of the previous day in the Korba delegation. The slaughterhouse owner was arrested, the seized quantities were destroyed in accordance with existing procedures, and a judicial case was opened against him.
This operation is part of the control campaigns aimed at protecting public health, particularly as the year-end holidays approach.
