Tunisian and Algerian Companies Sign Seven Partnership Agreements
Tunisian and Algerian companies signed seven partnership agreements on Thursday in Tunis, on the sidelines of the Tunisian-Algerian Economic Forum, held as part of the 23rd session of the Tunisian-Algerian Joint Commission, in the presence of several ministers from both countries.
First Agreement: ACS and PEC
The first agreement was signed between the Tunisian company "ACS", specialized in industrial equipment for textiles and clothing, and the Algerian company "PEC" (Plastic Electromechanic Company), specialized in the manufacture of injection molds and technical plastic transformation.
Other Agreements
Other agreements were concluded between:
- The Tunisian group "Coficab", a major partner of automotive cable manufacturers and most automotive manufacturers, and the Algerian company "IdeNet", operating in the field of geolocation.
- The Tunisian group "Fondinor", active in the industrial foundry sector, and the Algerian company "Techno Cast", specialized in industrial maintenance.
- The Tunisian Association of Automotive Component Manufacturers (TAA) and the Algerian Institute of Standardization (IANOR).
Distribution and Technology
In the distribution sector, the Tunisian company "IGL Distribution", specialized in wholesale distribution, concluded an agreement with the Algerian company "Tapidor", specialized in the manufacture of carpets, rugs, and synthetic grass. Additionally, the Tunisian group "One Tech", specialized in technological solutions, concluded an agreement with the Algerian group "Condor", operating in the household appliances sector.
Automotive and Electronics
The Tunisian company "Jomaa SA", active in the automotive equipment market, including the distribution of international brands of tires, lubricants, and garage equipment, signed an agreement with the Algerian group "Iris", which owns factories for the manufacture of electrical and electronic appliances as well as telecommunications products.
Importance of the Agreements
During the signing ceremony, the Vice-President of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts (UTICA), Hichem Elloumi, indicated that these cooperation agreements "are of great importance for both countries", highlighting the existence of strong partnership opportunities between Tunisia and Algeria in several sectors, including tourism, industry, renewable energy, trade, and investment.
