Tunisia's Permanent Mission to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva Condemns Israeli Attack on Qatar
The Permanent Mission of Tunisia to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva has strongly condemned the cowardly and treacherous attack carried out by the Israeli occupying entity on September 9, 2025, against Qatar, considering it a blatant violation of all international laws and conventions.
The mission called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to assume its legal, moral, and humanitarian responsibilities and to take serious and firm action to put an end to the acts of murder, starvation, and terrorism committed by the occupying power in the Palestinian territories.
During an emergency dialogue session on the Israeli aggression, held as part of the 60th session of the Council, the mission expressed Tunisia's sympathy and solidarity with Qatar, its leader, and its people, following this brutal Israeli aggression. It highlighted the gravity of the occupying entity's continued aggressive and arrogant policy.
According to a statement published on its official page, the mission estimated that nearly two years of genocidal war and ongoing starvation policy against the Palestinian people have not been enough for the Israeli enemy, whose aggressions now extend to Qatar, a country that is making mediation efforts for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The mission also recalled Tunisia's principled and consistent position in supporting the Palestinian people in their quest to regain their legitimate rights, which will never expire, namely the establishment of their independent and fully sovereign state on the entire territory of Palestine, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.
