The meeting aimed to explore the prospects of bilateral cooperation and identify the key challenges related to the access of Tunisian products to the Indian market.

Discussions Focus on Tariffs and Market Access

During the meeting, discussions centered on the tariffs applied to certain high-value-added products, particularly olive oil and dates. The Tunisian delegation organized a tasting session to showcase several varieties of extra-virgin olive oil, highlighting the quality and competitiveness of Tunisian products on the international market.

Strengthening Economic Ties through Business Council

In parallel with the working group meeting, the Tunisian delegation held a meeting with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry to explore ways to further dynamize economic relations between the two countries. The discussions focused on the creation of a joint Tunisian-Indian business council to structure and strengthen partnerships between economic operators.

Visit to Special Economic Zone
