Final Results of the Second Edition of the National Competition for "Ambassadors of Museums and Archaeological Monuments in Colleges and High Schools"
The final results of the second edition of the national competition for "Ambassadors of Museums and Archaeological Monuments in Colleges and High Schools," organized by the Ministry of Education at the National Museum of Islamic Arts in Raqqada, crowned students from Enkhilet College in Ariana Governorate with the title of "Ambassador of Museums and Archaeological Monuments" for the preparatory cycle thanks to their video titled "Ksar Said: Museum of Letters and Arts."
The title of "Ambassador of Museums and Archaeological Monuments" for the secondary cycle was awarded to students from Ibn El Jazzar High School for their documentary film "The Call of the Stones."
The juries also awarded the certificate of excellence and creativity for the preparatory cycle to Ain Jeloula College in Kairouan for its work "Djebel Ousselat: Memory of the Earth and Voice of History," while the pilot high school in Tataouine obtained the certificate of excellence and creativity for the secondary cycle thanks to its capsule dedicated to the monument "Ksar Ouled Soltane."
The Ambassador of Honor Award was given, as part of a special tribute, to the Sousse School for the Blind for its work on the "Sousse Museum."
In this context, the Director General of Preparatory and Secondary Education, Rim Maaroufi, stated to TAP Agency that this event, which was attended by 52 students representing the 26 regional education commissions with a total of 47 works in competition, aims to reinforce awareness of the importance of heritage, deepen the link between young generations and their civilizational heritage, and encourage students to discover the monuments of their regions and present them according to their own artistic vision.
She added that this event is part of the implementation of the partnership agreement between the Ministries of Education and Cultural Affairs, and that it constitutes a new opportunity to consecrate the participatory work between the different ministries.
Regarding the future prospects of the laureates of the "Ambassadors of Museums" title, Maaroufi specified that the initiative will go beyond the simple framework of distinction to value and promote these productions and documentary capsules, made with professionalism and quality by the students themselves, through their availability to the Ministry of Tourism to contribute to the promotion and valorization of Tunisian archaeological and historical heritage.
