Tunisian Exports to Nigeria Experience Exceptional Growth
Tunisian exports to Nigeria have recorded an exceptional growth of over 240% in the first eleven months of the year, reaching approximately 92 million dinars. This rapid progress comes as the CEPEX (Tunisian Export Promotion Center) intensifies its efforts to support Tunisian businesses in this strategic market.
In a statement to RTCI, Lassaad Ben Jomaa, Director of the CEPEX office in Nigeria, specified that his central mission was to meet with Tunisian exporters to identify, sector by sector, opportunities to further strengthen trade flows. The objective is twofold: to understand their specific needs in order to produce customized studies, and to concretize new export operations.
The potential of the Nigerian market, the most populous country in Africa with immense consumption needs, is a key driver of this dynamic. Demand is focused on several key sectors: agri-food products, construction materials, infrastructure, as well as medicines and cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.
Despite this already significant growth, ambitions remain high. The CEPEX office aims to maintain this level of exchange, expand the range of exported products, and increase the number of active Tunisian exporters in the Nigerian market.
It is worth noting that the CEPEX, under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Export Development, and in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Center, organizes "One to One" meetings with the heads of CEPEX commercial representations abroad. The event aims to identify new export opportunities for Tunisian products to 15 international markets.
