Tunisian Embassy in Baghdad Responds to Drone and Missile Attacks on Basra
The Tunisian Embassy in Baghdad announced that, after yesterday’s drone and missile strikes on the city of Basra, which ignited fires at oil facilities, it contacted several Tunisian engineers working in Basra’s oil fields and at the city’s port.
- The engineers confirmed they are safe and have sustained no damage.
- They also expressed a willingness to leave Iraq during their scheduled periodic leave.
The embassy has guided them toward the best available options for exiting the country by land and traveling from the airports of neighboring nations that have reopened their airspace, notably Turkey and Jordan.
