Esperance Sportive de Tunis Secures Spot in Tunisian Cup Semifinals
Esperance Sportive de Tunis (ES Tunis) has secured their spot in the semifinals of the Tunisian Cup after a convincing 3-0 win over BS Bouhajla on Thursday. Despite the absence of their foreign players, the team, nicknamed "Sang et Or" (Blood and Gold), proved their strength and determination.
The match was opened by Mohamed Ben Ali in the 38th minute, setting the tone for the rest of the game. As the match progressed, BS Bouhajla's chances of a comeback were severely hampered by the expulsion of Hazem Midani in the 69th minute, a decision made by the referee after consulting the video assistant referee (VAR).
With their numerical advantage, ES Tunis dominated the second half and sealed their victory with two more goals. Haythem Dhaou scored in the 86th minute, followed by Amanallah Touati's goal in the 93rd minute (90+3).
Thanks to this well-deserved win, ES Tunis continues their journey in the competition. In the semifinals, they will face the winner of the match between PS Sakiet Eddaier and JS Omrane.
