Esperance Sportive de Tunis Regains the Lead at Halftime in Tunisian Cup Match
Esperance Sportive de Tunis (EST) returned to the locker room with a 1-0 lead over Etoile Sportive de Metlaoui (ESM) at the end of the first half of their Tunisian Cup match.
The Sang and Gold team managed to gain the upper hand thanks to their better control of the game and constant pressure on the opponent's goal, culminating in a goal that gave them the advantage before the break. More applied in their build-up play and dangerous in the final meters, the Esperantists dominated a significant portion of the match against a Metlaoui team that tried to resist and counterattack.
Despite some ESM offensive opportunities, the EST defense was able to preserve their lead until the halftime whistle.
The second half promises a reaction from the home team, while Esperance will aim to manage their lead and secure their spot in the next round of the competition.
