Tunisian Consulate in Bologna Distributes Food Aid to Prisoners
The Consulate of Tunisia in Bologna organized a distribution operation of food aid and essential items for Tunisian detainees held in penitentiary facilities in the regions of Marche and Emilia‑Romagna. The action was carried out in close coordination with the relevant Italian authorities.
According to a statement posted on the consulate’s official Facebook page, this humanitarian initiative is part of the ongoing support provided to the various segments of the Tunisian community abroad. It aims to reinforce the values of human solidarity during Ramadan 2026.
The operation was financed and managed by a Tunisian citizen residing in Bologna, illustrating the spirit of citizenship and solidarity among compatriots, regardless of the circumstances.
The consular mission welcomed the gesture – the second of its kind since the consulate began its activities in July 2024 – emphasizing that it reflects the authentic and deeply rooted values of Tunisian society.
