Tunisian Swimmer Ahmed Jaoudi Shines at NCAA Championship
Tunisian swimmer Ahmed Jaoudi has once again confirmed his talent at the American University Swimming Championship (NCAA), delivering a dazzling performance under the colors of the University of Florida.
On Friday, October 10, 2025, during the meeting between the University of Florida and the University of Virginia in Gainesville, Florida, Jaoudi majestically dominated the 1000 yards freestyle event (approximately 914 meters), achieving an impressive time of 8:44.85. This excellent time, early in the season, brings him close to the University of Florida's record and propels him to the top of the national university rankings in this distance.
Notably, this was the first time the Tunisian swimmer had competed in this event in the American championship, confirming his status as a true rising star in middle-distance swimming.
The University of Florida dominated the podium, with Giovanni Linscheer (9:00.22) and Eric Brown (9:05.41) completing the winning trio.
