President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, Receives Iranian Foreign Minister
The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, received His Excellency Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, yesterday at the Carthage Palace.
Discussion on Regional Situation
The Head of State began the meeting by discussing the regional situation and the systematic threats to the security and stability of the region, particularly the situation in occupied Palestine. In this regard, he reaffirmed Tunisia's constant position in favor of the Palestinian people's right to recover the entirety of Palestine and establish an independent, fully sovereign state with Al-Qods as its capital.
Support for the Palestinian People
The President of the Republic emphasized that the ongoing war of extermination and daily crimes committed under the eyes of the whole world will not break the unshakeable will of the Palestinian people to liberate and recover all their legitimate rights. Neither bombs and missiles, nor famine, nor forced displacement plans will undermine this determination and resistance.
Condemning Enemy Tactics
He also pointed out that among the enemy's plans are division and spreading discord among the components of the same nation, or even among members of the same people. However, these attempts are doomed to fail, even if the enemy believes, wrongly, that it can achieve its goals by fueling the fires of internal war, division, and seeking to annihilate the very existence of states.
Global Condemnation of Zionist Entity
President Saïed indicated that humanity as a whole is rising up today against the Zionist entity and its persistent crimes, and is establishing a new human legitimacy based on justice, freedom, and real emancipation from all forms of domination.
Strengthening Tunisia-Iran Relations
Furthermore, the Head of State recalled the deep historical relations between Tunisia and Iran, as well as the fraternal ties that unite the two brotherly peoples. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields - economic, tourist, scientific, and cultural - and taking advantage of existing partnership opportunities to consolidate solidarity and achieve the common interest of the two countries.
