Meeting Between Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cuban Ambassador
Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, received Orlando Requeijo Gual today, Monday, December 8, 2025, who presented him with a copy of his Letters of Credence as Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Tunisia.
Discussion and Cooperation
During this meeting, the Minister praised the excellent level of relations between Tunisia and Cuba, reaffirming the ministry's availability to provide all necessary support to the Ambassador to accomplish his mission under the best conditions. This aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation areas and expand them, particularly in the sectors of:
- Health
- Pharmaceutical industry
- Higher education
- Sports
- Agriculture
- Chemical fertilizers
- Promotion of Tunisian olive oil
Cuban Ambassador's Statement
For his part, the Cuban Ambassador expressed his pride in assuming his functions in Tunisia, praising the depth of relations between the two countries and his country's consideration for the constant support provided by Tunisia to Cuba at the multilateral level. He reaffirmed his country's determination to:
- Consolidate friendship ties
- Strengthen and diversify cooperation relations with Tunisia
