Tunisia Reaffirms Support for Palestinian People's Struggle

In a statement released on Thursday evening, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Tunisia once again reaffirms its constant and principled position in support of the Palestinian people's struggle and their right to self-determination. The country expressed its satisfaction with the ceasefire agreement reached in Gaza, after two years of systematic genocide crimes that provoked an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

Tunisia praises the resilience of the brave Palestinian people and pays tribute to their precious sacrifices and the pure blood shed in the face of the Zionist machine of death and destruction, in defense of their right to liberation and total emancipation.

While welcoming the Arab and international efforts that led to this agreement, Tunisia warns against the risks of the Zionist entity's new disregard for commitments. The country calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities by ensuring the permanence of the ceasefire in Gaza, by totally lifting the blockade, and by accelerating the granting of the Palestinian people's immediate right to receive humanitarian aid and rebuild their land, in order to ensure the conditions for a dignified, secure, and respectful life.

Tunisia also emphasizes that the conclusion of a ceasefire agreement must not obscure the international community's responsibility to pursue the occupant entity's officials to bring them to justice for the crimes of genocide and collective persecution committed. The country reaffirms its categorical rejection of any attempt to displace the brotherly Palestinian people from their land and to liquidate their just cause.

Finally, Tunisia renews its unconditional support for the legitimate struggles of the Palestinian people to recover their historical, inalienable, and imprescriptible rights, as well as for the establishment of their independent, fully sovereign state, on the entire Palestinian territory, with Al-Quds as its capital.
