Tunisia-Italy Trade Exchanges Reach €93.1 Million, Forum Reveals
The economic forum between Tunisia and the Italian region of Umbria has revealed that trade exchanges between the two countries have reached approximately €93.1 million. The data, published by the Centre for Promotion of Exports, shows that Tunisian exports account for €70.6 million, while imports from Umbria total €22.5 million, highlighting a significant dominance of Tunisian exports in bilateral trade.
Potential for Growth
The forum also highlighted a potential growth of €686 million in several strategic sectors, including mining, textiles, and mechanics. This projection illustrates significant opportunities for the development of trade exchanges and the strengthening of economic cooperation between the two parties.

Participants emphasized the positive dynamics of Tunisia-Umbria trade relations and the prospects for expansion in the coming years.

The forum was organized by the Tunisian Embassy in Rome, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Umbria, and in collaboration with the Centre for Promotion of Exports, the Agency for the Promotion of External Investment, and the Tunisian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event aimed to promote Tunisian offers in the fields of trade, industry, and investment.

Discussions also highlighted the advantages of Tunisia as a regional platform capable of attracting European investments, in a global context marked by the relocalization of production chains.

On this occasion, Anis Basti, representative of the Centre for Promotion of Exports in Milan, emphasized that Tunisia has made significant progress in its integration into the Euro-Mediterranean space, thanks to its human skills and competitive capacities, making it an attractive destination for European partners.
