Ministry of Environment and General Directorate of Forests Agree to Simplify Ecotourism Procedures
The Ministry of Environment and the General Directorate of Forests, under the Ministry of Agriculture, have agreed to simplify administrative procedures for ecotourism and strengthen the sustainable valorization of natural resources, following a ministerial working session chaired by Environment Minister Habib Obeid.
Key Discussions and Decisions
The meeting, which was attended by General Director of Forests Noufel Ben Haha, focused on implementing practical measures to support community-based companies active in environmental and forestry fields, considered a major lever for regional economic development. Among the adopted decisions, the two departments agreed to:
- Draw up a detailed list of available non-wood forest products and determine the exploitable quantities
- Prepare a guide to natural resources that can be valorized in each governorate

The participants also emphasized the need to simplify procedures related to ecotourism activities, considering it a key tool for:
