Minister of Education Announces Plans to Expand "Second Chance School" Experience
The Minister of Education, Noureddine Nouri, announced on Thursday that his department is working to generalize the "Second Chance School" experience across all regions. This initiative aims to support students who have prematurely left school and provide them with pedagogical and social guidance. Noureddine Nouri emphasized that the educational institution "does not produce violence or school dropout," highlighting that "the natural space for a child is the school space." He stressed the need to revitalize school life within educational establishments through cultural, sports, and artistic activities.
The Minister indicated that the department is working to strengthen these initiatives by organizing educational and cultural outings, relaunching music and theater clubs, and supporting sports activities and interschool competitions.
According to the presented data, 5,630 students participated this year in fully funded cultural outings by the Ministry's budget, covering various regions of the country, including rural and remote areas. This approach is part of a plan to further energize schools and combat dropout rates.
