Partially Cloudy Skies to Give Way to Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms
The National Meteorological Institute announced on Thursday that the weather will be partially cloudy, gradually becoming very cloudy in the late afternoon over the south and western highlands, with temporarily stormy rains.
According to the institute's forecasts, these precipitation will then affect locally the eastern regions of the central part of the country.
The wind will be blowing from the western sector over the north and center, while it will be from the southern sector then north over the southern part of the country. It will be relatively strong near the coasts and in the southern regions, and light to moderate elsewhere.
Meteorological services also predict a strengthening of the wind during the night over the western highlands, with gusts that can temporarily exceed 60 km/h, particularly during the stormy episodes.
The sea will be slightly agitated in the north and agitated over the rest of the coasts.
Maximum temperatures will vary between 23 and 28 degrees over the north and highlands, between 29 and 34 degrees in the other regions, and will reach locally 37 degrees in the extreme south of the country.
