Tunisia Simplifies Visa Procedures for Egyptian Citizens
The Tunisian Embassy in Cairo has announced that the Tunisian authorities have decided to simplify visa procedures for Egyptian citizens, under certain conditions.
According to a statement published on the embassy's official Facebook page, these facilities apply to the following categories:
- Businessmen, researchers, doctors, liberal professions, and high-ranking officials
- Those who hold a residence permit or a Schengen visa (European area) or a visa for the United States
- Those who travel in groups of more than 10 people, through Tunisian travel agencies approved by the Ministry of Tourism. A representative of the agency must be present at the airport to welcome the group
The embassy specified that the concerned Tunisian services must receive in advance the nominal lists of travelers, accompanied by all necessary documents, including:
- A detailed travel program, from arrival to departure
- Return tickets corresponding to hotel reservation dates
- Copies of valid passports
- Any other document justifying the purpose of the trip
This announcement comes after the 18th session of the Tunisian-Egyptian High Joint Commission, which was held on September 10 and 11. The works were chaired by the Head of the Tunisian Government, Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzeri, and the Egyptian Prime Minister, Moustafa Kamal Madbouly.
On this occasion, the Head of the Tunisian Government called for intensifying field work and multiplying visits between the two countries to increase the volume of trade exchanges.
