Meeting Between the Minister of Economy and Planning and the Regional Director of the International Finance Corporation
The Minister of Economy and Planning, Mr. Samir Abdelhafidh, met with Mr. David Tinal, the Regional Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the Maghreb region, which is part of the World Bank Group, on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the ministry's headquarters.

This meeting, which was attended by Ms. Sarah Morsi, the IFC's Resident Representative in Tunisia, and Mr. Alexander Aroubio, the World Bank's Resident Representative in Tunisia, provided an opportunity for the minister to acknowledge the existing level of cooperation between the two parties, while emphasizing the desire to further strengthen it in the coming period. The discussion also focused on the progress of certain ongoing cooperation programs, particularly those related to:
- Improving the investment and business climate
- Supporting the private sector

Mr. David Tinal reaffirmed the IFC's commitment to continuing its support for Tunisia in implementing its reform programs, by providing the necessary technical expertise and financing mechanisms. This meeting highlights the strong partnership between Tunisia and the International Finance Corporation, with a shared goal of promoting economic growth and development in the region.
