The same issue of the JORT contains additional joint decrees that confer university status on a number of medical departments across several hospital facilities, including:

  • Gynecology‑Obstetrics and Pediatrics at the Tataouine Regional Hospital.
  • Infectious Diseases, Anatomy, Pathological Cytology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Pediatric Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, and Cervico‑Facial Surgery at the Mohamed Ben Sassi University Hospital in Gabès.

University status was also granted to:

  • The Gynecology‑Obstetrics department at the Tozeur Regional Hospital.
  • The Preventive Medicine and Community Health department at the Msaken Regional Hospital in the governorate of Sousse.
  • The Anesthesia and Intensive Care department at the Mahres Regional Hospital in the governorate of Sfax.
