Health Ministers Sign Agreement to Enhance Partnership in the Health Sector
On Monday, Tunisian Health Minister Mustapha Ferjani signed a cooperation agreement with his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Murashko, aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two countries in the health sector. The signing took place on the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, which is being held from May 18 to 23.
According to a statement released by the Tunisian Ministry of Health, the cooperation program focuses on medical training, telemedicine, pharmaceutical industries, nuclear medicine, scientific research, and health innovation, in addition to the exchange of expertise between healthcare institutions and universities in both countries.
The two parties emphasized that this cooperation is not limited to Tunisia and Russia, but can be transformed into a partnership platform serving the African continent, particularly through support for training, technology transfer, and the development of joint health projects.
Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko expressed his high appreciation for Tunisia's medical expertise and its position in the region, reaffirming his country's willingness to expand this cooperation and support joint large-scale projects.
On this occasion, he also extended an official invitation to the Tunisian Health Minister to visit Russia to continue the dynamic of this health cooperation.
