Tunisia to Experience New Weather Disturbances from Thursday Night to Saturday

Tunisia is expected to experience a new wave of weather disturbances from Thursday night to Saturday, marked by rain, thunderstorms, and a significant drop in temperatures in several regions of the country.

According to Amer Bhabha, a geography professor and expert on Tunisian weather, the sky will gradually become overcast in most regions, with a much cooler temperature compared to previous days.

Speaking on Diwan FM, the expert stated that the first precipitation is expected to affect the regions of Kébili, Gafsa, and Tozeur from Thursday night, before spreading to the Gabès governorate. The expected rainfall amounts are expected to be light to moderate.

The weather situation is expected to evolve further on Friday, with the extension of thunderstorms to several governorates in the center and south, including Kasserine, Sfax, Mahdia, Sidi Bouzid, and Kairouan.

The forecasts also do not rule out the progressive extension of cloud masses to other regions in the north and center of the country, including Le Kef, Siliana, Sousse, Zaghouan, and Nabeul.

This deterioration in the weather comes in the context of marked meteorological fluctuations observed in Tunisia over the past few days, with an alternation between high temperatures and rainy and stormy episodes.

The meteorological authorities are calling on citizens to follow the updated bulletins and to exercise vigilance, particularly in areas that are likely to experience an intensification of precipitation and winds.
