Water Levels in Tunisian Dams Rise to 701 Million Cubic Meters

The current water stock in Tunisian dams stands at 701 million cubic meters, representing a filling rate of 29.6%. This level marks an increase of 155 million cubic meters compared to September 5, 2024, and 56 million cubic meters compared to the average of the last three years.

According to agricultural expert Anis Ben Rayana, the dams in the north have a filling rate of 34.8%. Speaking on Express FM, he added that the inflows from the dams for the 2024-2025 season are estimated at 982 million cubic meters, which is 54.1% of the annual averages, evaluated at 1.813 billion cubic meters.

Over the past decade, the inflows reached 136% of the averages in 2018-2019, around 54% for three seasons, and less than 50% for the remainder of the time.
