Tunisia Participates in International Gastronomy Competition
Tunisia took part in the "Concorso Internazionale di Gastronomia 2025-Sicilian Experience", an international gastronomy competition held from October 20 to 24 in Terrasini, in the province of Palermo, Italy. The country was represented by the Agency for Training in Tourism Professions (AFMT) at this competition organized by the European University of Tourism (UET), which brought together teams from France, Italy, Morocco, and Tunisia. Present at the closing ceremony of the competition, the Tunisian Consul in Palermo, Mohamed Ali Mahjoub, praised the "excellence, discipline, and efforts" of the young Tunisian chefs, emphasizing that their performance illustrates the quality of professional training in the tourism sector. He also highlighted the role of this initiative in enhancing the richness and diversity of Tunisian cuisine, as well as promoting the country's image on a global scale. Tunisia's participation is part of its active support for national delegations engaged in international competitions. The objective of this competition is to strengthen the skills of young people in the fields of cuisine, hospitality, and tourism, while promoting intercultural exchanges.
