Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies Receives Palestinian Vice-Minister
The Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies, Sofiene Hemissi, received Houda Wahidi, Vice-Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Economy of the State of Palestine, on Tuesday at the ministry's headquarters, in the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador to Tunis, Rami Qaddoumi.
Bilateral Cooperation in ICT and Postal Sectors
The meeting allowed for a review of the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fields of information and communication technologies (ICT) and the postal sector. Both parties emphasized the importance of regular exchanges in terms of training, skill development, and technical expertise sharing.
Development of Partnerships between Start-ups
Particular attention was paid to the development of partnerships between Tunisian and Palestinian start-ups, with the aim of promoting innovation and strengthening the competitiveness of the digital ecosystems of both countries.
Tunisia's Support for the Palestinian Cause
On this occasion, the Tunisian Minister reiterated Tunisia's constant and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause in all international forums, particularly within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Universal Postal Union (UPU).
Invitation to Participate in Technological Events
He also renewed the invitation to the Palestinian side to participate in upcoming technological events organized in Tunisia, considered a platform for exchange and connection between public and private actors.
Palestinian Delegation's Appreciation
For its part, the Palestinian delegation praised the availability of the Tunisian authorities to share their expertise and support efforts to modernize and strengthen Palestinian digital infrastructure.
